Read this first. Akontec is not a registered investment adviser, portfolio manager, or deposit-taking institution. Nothing in this catalog is an offer of securities, a solicitation of deposits, or investment advice. Any figure shown is an illustration built on stated assumptions, not a promise. Every real transaction is documented in a separate agreement reviewed by both parties' advisers. See 15_Investment/04_Investor_Disclosures.md — that document governs everything on this page.
Three distinct things get called "investment", and confusing them causes problems:
1. Business partnership / franchise participation. A partner puts capital into an operating unit — a food-cart franchise outlet, a delivery centre, a marketing venture — and earns from that unit's trading results. This is business ownership, not a financial product.
2. Project co-investment. A partner funds the setup cost of a specific campaign or centre (seats, infrastructure, working capital) and shares the revenue that campaign generates, per a written agreement.
3. Equity investment into Akontec. A conventional venture or strategic investment into the company. Handled through the investor process in 19_Investors, not through this catalog.
| Structure | Capital use | Return mechanism | Typical horizon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Franchise unit | Cart/outlet setup, inventory, launch marketing | Trading profit of the unit | 12–36 months |
| Delivery centre partnership | Seats, infrastructure, hiring, working capital | Share of campaign revenue after costs | 12–24 months |
| Campaign co-funding | Mobilisation and ramp cost for a specific campaign | Agreed share of campaign margin | 6–18 months |
| Product/venture co-development | Build cost of a software or media venture | Revenue share or equity in the venture | 24–48 months |
| Equity into Akontec | General corporate purposes | Equity value, dividends where declared | Long-term |
An arrangement missing any of these nine is not offered. That is a hard internal rule.
Violation of this list is a disciplinary matter, not a style preference. See 27_Guardrails/03_Restricted_Statements.md.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Enquiry | Structure explained, disclosure document sent |
| 2. Qualification | Fit, capital source and expectations discussed honestly |
| 3. Documentation pack | Business plan, cost sheet, illustrative model with assumptions visible, risk statement |
| 4. Independent review | Partner is told, in writing, to have their own adviser review it |
| 5. Agreement | Executed by the Director; funds move only against a signed agreement to a company account |
| 6. Reporting | Per the agreement, on a fixed cycle |
